THE SEASONS
Once upon a time, many years ago, a beautiful maiden was given over as teind to hell, and her mother went mad with rage and grief. So terrible was her fury that the Lord of Hell himself was turned to pity and returned her daughter to her. For a little while, and for a price. And from this lesser pact were the Seasonal Courts born.
SPRING
Pact: Empathy
Geas: Bleeding hearts
Colour: Fresh green, blossom pink; flower imagery. Leaves and flowers.Â
Emblem: Sprig of blossom
The Court of Spring are blessed. They can see the inside of each and every heart. The Court of Spring are cursed. They can see the inside of each and every heart. For they were born of innocence which must always turn to sorrow before the year ends.

SUMMER
Pact: Presence
Geas: Selfish as the sun
Colour: Gold, brass and bronze - no, more gold than that. Apollonian
Emblem: Sun
The Court of Summer are glorious and certain as the sun, born of a mother’s great victory, burning with her triumph still. Perhaps they burn a little too bright, for they sometimes seem to struggle to see (or care about) anything that lies outside of their own light.

AUTUMN
Pact: Harvest's Blessing
Geas: Pay your way
Colour: Copper, brown and red; leaves, rags, patchwork and wheat sheaves
Emblem: Wheat sheaf
The Court of Autumn are the light in the dark, and the hope of better times as the year turns. When the harvest comes in and the bonfires are lit, these lucky folk are always there, to take their share of the feast and in return, grant their blessings with a kiss. Be hopeful, friend, that you catch the eye of an autumn lad or lass tonight.

WINTER
Pact: Curse of the cold
Geas: Hospitality
Colour: Black and white and gray; gothic monsters, dull cloth, frozen mountains
Emblem: Winter fox
The Court of Winter are cold as curses, and cruel as grief. Yet it is said that they still hide the mother’s love within and that Winter’s loyalty, when given, is absolute.
